Die Stadt liegt 400 km s\u00fcdwestlich von Tehran. Sie galt als Zentrum der Zivilisation und \u00fcber Jahre hinweg war sie Hauptstadt verschiedener Dynastien unter anderem der Meder. Herodot gibt an, dass der Mederk\u00f6nig Diokes die Stadt Ekbatana im Jahr 700 v. Hamadan war die Residenz der ach\u00e4menischen K\u00f6nige, Sommerresort der Parther, Sassanier. Im Sommer ist das Kima mild, dagegen sind die Wintermonate kalte.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Avicenna-Mausoleum<\/strong><br \/>\nAvicenna oder Abu Ali Sina, war ein bekannter persischer Mediziner, Philosoph und Wissenschaftller m Mittelalter. Er lebte im 10. Jh. In Hamadna und verstarb im Jahr 1307. Das heutige Mausoleum wurde 1952 errichtet. Das Grab des bekannten Dichters Aref Ghasvini, der an der konstitutionellen Revolution (1905-1911) aktiv war, liegt ebenfalls in den Hof. Auf dem Hof steht eine Steinstatue von Avicenna. Sein bekanntes Werk \u201eKanon der Medizin\u201c diente bis ins sp\u00e4te Mittelalter in Europa als Lehr- und Nachschlagwerk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mausoleum des Dichters Baba Taher<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Dichter Baba Taher war ein Zeitgenosse von Avicenna und verstarb 1019 n. Ch. . Das Mausoleumsgel\u00e4nde ist 8965 qm gro\u00df und mit einem Blumengarten geschm\u00fcckt. Bekannt ist Baba Taher f\u00fcr seine kurzen Doppelverse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Alavian Kuppelbau<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Kuppelbau stammt aus der sp\u00e4tseldschukischen Zeit aus dem 12. Jh. . Urspr\u00fcnglich war das Geb\u00e4ude eine Moschee, doch sp\u00e4ter wurde es zur Grabst\u00e4tte der F\u00fcrstenfamilie Alavie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ghorban Grabturm (Borj-e Ghorban)<\/strong><br \/>\nDer zw\u00f6lfeckige Ziegelturm liegt \u00f6stlich der Stadt. Der geistliche Gelehrte Schekh-ol-Eslam Hafez Abul-Ala liegt dort begraben. Bei Renovierungsarbeiten im jahr 1934 wurden die Grabsteine seldschukischer Herrscher und eine Krypta gefunden.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ganj Nameh<\/strong><br \/>\n5km s\u00fcdwestlich von Hamadan, auf ca. 2200 H\u00f6he an den Ausl\u00e4ufern des Alwand Gebirges sind auf einer Felswand Keilschriften aus der ach\u00e4menidischen \u00c4ra zu sehen.<br \/>\nDie Keilschriften sind auf drei verschiedenen Sprachen, Altpersisch, Elamitisch und Babylonisch geschrieben.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Ali Sadr H\u00f6hle<\/strong><br \/>\nDie Ali Sadr Wasserh\u00f6he liegt 75km nordwestlich von Hamadan. Die H\u00f6hle gleicht einem Naturwunder und wurde 1963 entdeckt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Mausoleum von Esther und Mordekhai<\/strong><br \/>\nDie biblische K\u00f6nigin Esther war die Gemahlin des ach\u00e4menidischen K\u00f6nigs Xerxes.
