Es liegt 298 km nordwestlich von Tehran. Die Stadt ist bekannt f\u00fcr ihre Messerproduktion und die Herstellung von traditionellen Sandalen (Charoogh). Der Legende gr\u00fcndete Ardaschir I., der erste K\u00f6nig der sassanidischen Dynastie, die Stadt.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Kuppelbau von Soltanieh (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Der Kuppelbau aus der Zeit der Mongolenherrschaft liegt ca. 40km s\u00fcd\u00f6stlich von Zanjan. Schon von weit her ist der Kuppelbau zu erkennen. Der ilchanidische Herrscher Arghun errichtete im 13 Jh. eine Sommerresidenz. Nachdem Olscheidt\u00fc die ilchanidische Herrschaft antrat, weitete er den Bau zwischen den Jahren 1302-1312 aus, und verlegte seine Residenz komplett nach Soltanieh. &nbsp;Das Bauwerk trotz seitdem den Zerst\u00f6rungen durch Erdbeben, Klimawandel und Zerfall. Die \u00e4u\u00dfere H\u00f6he der zweischaligen Kuppel betr\u00f6gt fast 50 m und hat einen inneren Durchmesser vn 25m. Es ist mit farbigen Fliesen ausgestattet.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Basar von Zanjan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Der Bau des Basar began im Jahr 1835 w\u00e4hrend der Regentschaft von Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar und wurde in der Herrschaftszeit von Fath Ali Schah vollendet. 1940 wurde der Bau um eine Moschee und ein Badehaus erweitertet. Die Basar hat einen westlichen und \u00f6stlichen Bereich.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Jame Moschee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Die Jame Moschee von Zanjan ist auch unter dem Namen Seyyed Moschee bekannt und wurde 1826 von Abdullah Mirza Dara, Sohn des Qajarenk\u00f6nigs Fath Ali Schah, gestiftet. Der Bau hat einen Vier-Iwan-Hof und ein Kuppelgeb\u00e4ude.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Waschhaus (Rakht Schui Khane)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Das einstige Waschhaus, fungiert heute als ein kleines V\u00f6lkerkundemuseum. Das Waschhaus wurde 1928 erbaut.
