Raja Passenger Train Company, an affiliate of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways, ran its first tourist train branded as “desert tourism train” between Tehran and Kashan in the northern part of Isfahan Province on Thursday. “As scheduled, the train leaves Tehran at 6:20 a.m. every Thursday and returns at 10:00 p.m.,” says Reza Asari, an official with Raja. Train tickets will be sold online at www.raja.ir or through other outlets, including 1539 hotline service or official sales representatives. Costing 2.59 million rials ($22.46), tourist train also covers the cost of travel insurance and food services, he was quoted as saying by IRNA.
