ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival - Tabriz

Arrive at Tabriz airport, welcome by a Gashttour representative. Then transfer to hotel and rest. O/N Tabriz

Day 2: Tabriz - Kandovan - Tabriz

(120 Kilometers distance) [ Round Trip]

After breakfast, we will drive to Kandovan village and visit this attractive place with its dwellings carved from volcanic ash deposits. Later, return to Tabriz and shall visit Elgoli, a pleasant hillside garden surrounding an artificial lake on the eastern outskirts of Tabriz. Then, we will visit the Blue Mosque a UNESCO Heritage. Day 3: Tabriz - Black Church - Tabriz

(460 Kilometers distance) [Round Trip]

We shall visit the Black Church, a 1000-year-old Christian site within which is the grave of Saint Thaddeus, Black and white stones are utilized in its construction. Later return to Tabriz. O/N Tabriz

Day 4: Tabriz - Urmia Lake - Tabriz

(280 Kilometers Distance) [ Round Trip]

Drive to Urmia Lake and visit an endorheic Salt Lake which is the largest lake in the Middle East. Later, return to Tabriz and visit Bazaar another UNESCO heritage in Tabriz. ON Tabriz

Day 5: Tabriz - Ardabil - Astara

(300 Kilometers Distance)

After breakfast drives toward Ardabil and passes the spectacular Hyran valley en route. Then, in Ardabil visit UNESCO heritage Sheikh Safi al-din Khanegah and Shrine Ensemble and Ali Ghapo mosque with bazaar. Afterward toward Astara and visit Astra Port and Bazaar. O/N Astara

Day 6: Astra - Anzali- Masouleh

After breakfast, we drive toward Masouleh and visit Anzali international Lagoon and sailboat en route. Then visit the local Bazaar in Anzalii and pass the jungle roads to Masouleh the enchanting mountain village. O/N Masouleh local house

Day 7: Masouleh - Rasht - Chalous - Valasht lake - Chalous

In the morning we drive to Rasht and visit this city. Then, toward Chalous visit Valasht lake and later return to Chalous and visit the bazaar. O/N Chalous

Day 8: Chalous - Badab Soort - Gorgan

We drive to Badab Soort and Visit this natural site and spring. Then travel to Gorgan to Ashoura Deh in Turkman Bandar and then stay in the Naharkhoran jungle. O/N Gorgan

We pass several cities toward Mashhad and en-route visit Bandar Turkman and Qabus Ibn Voshmgir Tower another UNESCO heritage. Later Continue to Mashhad. O/N Mashhad

Day 10: Mashhad - Nishapur

After breakfast, we will visit Imam Reza Holy Shrine, Nader Tomb, and Ferdowsi mausoleum. Later, to drive to Nishapur the old city, and visit Omar Khayyam and Attar. Later return to Mashhad. O/N Mashhad

Day 11: Mashhad - Nashtifan Windfall - Torbat Hydarieh

After breakfast, we will drive and visit the Ancient Windmills of Nashtifan which may be the earliest windmill design in the world. Later drive to Torbat Hydariyeh and visit there. O/N Torbat Hydarieh

Day 12: Torbat Hydrieh – Mashhad - Tehran

(160 Kilometers Distance)

After breakfast, transfer to Mashhad Airport and fly to Tehran. Later visit Sa’dabad Complex palace. Then, visit Archaeological and Islamic Art Museums. The pre-Islam archaeological museum covers Persia’s history from the 5th millennium BC to 648 AD while the Islamic art museum provides a display of Islamic works of art. Then to the Golestan palace complex dating from the 18th century AD. O/N Tehran

Day 13: Tehran - Zanjan

After breakfast drive to Zanjan and visit Katale Khor Cave, colorful mountains, and also the Dom of Soltaniyeh another UNESCO heritage. O/N Zanjan

After breakfast, we drive toward Takab and en-route visit the fire temple the identification of the site of Takht-e Soleyman with that of the fire temple of Azargoshasb became clear when a Sasanian era-bullae was discovered there. Later, continue to Takab. O/N Takab

After breakfast drives to Hamadan and visits Avicenna tomb, Hegmataneh hill, and the museum. Later visit the Tomb of Esther and Mordechai, the Jewish tombs, Gonbed Alavian and Ali Sader cave. O/N Hamadan

After breakfast, we will drive to Khoram Abad in the morning to visit Abashar Bisheh. Later visit Falak al Aflak Castel in Khoram Abad. O/N Khoram Abad

Day 18: Khoram Abad - Qom - Kashan

Drive Toward Qom and visit Hazrate Masoumeh Holy Shrine and other great mosques. Later, continue to Kashan and visit the old Tabatabai house and Fin Garden. O/N Kashan

Day 19: Kashan - Qamsar - Abyaneh - Isfahan

After breakfast drive to Qamsar and visit this village. Later, toward Abyaneh an ancient fascinating village with its colorfully dressed inhabitants and mud-brick houses, where little has changed for several centuries. Later, drive to Isfahan. O/N Isfahan

Day 20: Isfahan

In the morning we will visit Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a huge open square in the center of Isfahan. The square periphery is marked by outstanding Safavid buildings which include the Ali Qapu palace, the Imam Mosque, the Sheikh Lotfollah (ladies) mosque, and to the north the expansive bazaar where we can see artisans crafting metal work, Persian miniatures, printing intricate designs on cloth and other activities. In the afternoon, we will visit Si-o-Se Pol (thirty-three arches) and Khaju Bridge spanning the Zayanderud River. O/N Isfahan

Day 21: Isfahan

We will visit the Armenian quarter of Jolfa where the Vank cathedral and its adjacent museum are of interest. Later we visit the Friday Mosque, Shaking Minarets, and Chehel Sotoun Palace where the huge murals are masterpieces from Safavid times. O/N Isfahan

Day 22: Isfahan - Varzaneh

After breakfast, drive to Varzneh which has a quiet desert climate, and stay there. O/N Varzaneh

Day 23: Varzaneh - Yazd

(250 Kilometers Distance)

 

According to UNESCO, Yazd is one of the oldest cities in the world; it is like a living museum. We will visit narrow alleys, the highest wind tower of the city which keeps the building cool, the Friday Mosque from the 14th century, and the silk weaving workshop where exquisite brocades are still made on traditional looms. Day 24 Yazd - Pasargadae - Necropolis - Persepolis - Shiraz

Drive to Shiraz through mountain scenery to visit Pasargadae another UNESCO heritage, the earliest Achaemenian capital the tomb of Cyrus the Great is well preserved. Later, at Necropolis, we see four tombs of Achaemenian kings high in the cliffs of limestone and then we stop at Persepolis the outstanding ceremonial palace of the Achaemenian (550BC) which is a UNESCO heritage. We continue to Shiraz. Day 25: Shiraz

After breakfast, we will visit the Eram Garden (Paradise Garden) which was built during the middle of the thirteenth century. Besides, we visit Naranjestan Gardens with its outstanding tile working, mirroring, etc., which was built between 1879 and 1886 by Qavam Family, and visit Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque (Pink Mosque). Then, toward Hafez and Saadi Museums who was a famous Persian poet in the world. Afterward, we will visit the Arg Citadel and Vakil Bazaar. Later, visit the most astonishing mirror decoration of the Aliebnehamze Holy Shrine. O/N Shiraz

Day 26 Shiraz –Departure

Transfer to the airport for your return flight from Iran.
