(CNN) Researchers have found a hidden continent on Earth. They discovered it as the Mediterranean geologically evolved complex, facing mountain highlands and sinking from Spain to Iran.
This continent is named Greater Adria. It is as big as Greenland and started in North Africa, and was only buried beneath Southern Europe about 140 million years ago.
