A female captain and her first officer, Ms. Jahandari and Ms. Firouzi piloted a round trip between Tehran and Mashhad on Monday in a historic moment in Iran’s aviation history.
The first two women in Iran’s aviation history to have piloted a passenger flight was Iranian pilot Neshat Jahandari and co-pilot Forouz Firouzi.
This flight which was the departing flight from capital Tehran to Mashhad in northeast Iran and then Back from Mashhad to Tehran was done with 160 passengers on Monday, and the return flight carried 171 passengers.
Captain Jahandari said it as a historic event in Iran’s aviation industry and posted about the news on her Instagram page.
