Vegan Tourism Is Extending Its Territory in Iran
Studies show that the trend of Vegan Tourism is increasingly affecting the tourism industry.
In the past years, the vegan lifestyle has developed rapidly and has received more attention than ever before. This lifestyle has affected many aspects, including tourism. It has opened a new section in the industry called Vegan Tourism and became so popular.
Recently, the discussions on matters like green living, responsible tourism, as well as the growing interest of society in sustainable tourism, has been able to help develop tourism.
Especially after the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, tourists have become more interested in environmentally friendly products or services, including Vegan Tourism.
The survey shows that in the third quarter of 2019, 46% of respondents said they would like to buy products that are better for the environment or animals.
Another survey from December 2020 found that more than 76 per cent of global respondents consider ethics, environmental friendliness, and social responsibility when choosing products or services.
A vegan lifestyle has minimized the negative environmental impact of agriculture, so this lifestyle plays a special role in maintaining sustainability and environmental compatibility, and thus, this type of tourism is part of responsible tourism and sustainable tourism.
Vegan tourism goes beyond vegetarian food during the trip or dining options at destination vegetarian restaurants.
Many vegans also limit the use of products or services that harm animals, such as animal testing or animal-related tourism activities.
Before, in Iran, finding restaurants and hotels with vegetarian food was difficult for these tourists and was considered a barrier to visiting a destination. However, the dramatic growth of Vegan travelling over the years has greatly enriched the choices of vegan tourists in terms of destination and accommodation.
Iran has a full menu when it comes to food and local dishes. As a sign of respect to the guest meat was always considered in the dish. But now, other traditional foods are on the table for Vegan Tourism.
