Taking the top spot for the city that is the best for multi-generational trips is Madrid. The Spanish capital scored well for a number of different factors including being home to 125 Michelin Guide restaurants, offering two of the ‘100 best National dishes around the world’ (Gambas Al Ajillo and Paella de Mariscos), and being very family-friendly, scoring an impressive 4 out of 5 for this.

Taking the silver medal position is Japan’s capital, Tokyo. Catering for all likes and dislikes, Tokyo offers a variety of different landscapes including urban cityscape, sandy beaches, covered forests, and looming mountains. It offers something for everybody and is also not far at all from Japan’s highest peak, Mount Fuji, for any adrenaline junkies.
