Minor Hotels

More than 100 properties operated by Minor Hotels, one of the world’s leading hospitality companies, have been included in the new GHA Green Collection, providing a new level of choice for sightseers looking to travel more responsibly.

The Green Collection is a new initiative from GHA Discovery, the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, and brings together about 200 hotels globally that are demonstrating a strong commitment to protecting people and the planet.

A total of 119 properties representing each of Minor Hotels’ eight global hotel brands – Anantara, Avani, Elewana Collection, Oaks, NH Hotels, NH Collection, nhow, and Tivoli – across 21 countries have been included in the collection. The properties have been selected based on their commitment to sustainability, including energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and responsible sourcing.

Each hotel in the GHA Green Collection has earned at least one globally-recognized certification, including EarthCheck, Green Growth 2050, Green Key, Green Globe, or Green Seal. In addition to meeting these criteria, the hotels must also be committed to continuous improvement, have a sustainability plan in place, and be working to reduce their environmental impact year-over-year.

“We are extremely proud to see so many of our hotels included in the GHA Green Collection,” said Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and Group CEO of Minor International. “This is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and our efforts to lead the way in creating a more sustainable future for our industry.”

“We have been working hard across the entire Minor Hotels portfolio to support the protection of the environments and communities we call home,” said John Roberts, Group Director of Sustainability & Conservation for Minor Hotels. “Being part of the Green Collection is a recognition of those efforts, and will support the growing number of travelers globally who desire to make more informed choices about where they stay.”
