On May 22, 2025, Universal Orlando unveiled its highly anticipated fourth theme park, Epic Universe, a groundbreaking expansion that sets a new standard in the world of theme parks. Nestled just a short distance from the renowned Universal Orlando Resort, Epic Universe immerses guests in five fantastical themed lands, each meticulously crafted to transport visitors into captivating stories. With a perfect blend of innovative technology and imaginative design, this park promises to redefine the way we experience adventure and entertainment like never before!

At the heart of the park is Celestial Park, the entry hub, which features lush gardens, a dual-launch coaster called Stardust Racers, and a whimsical carousel inspired by constellations. From here, guests can journey into four unique worlds:

  • Super Nintendo World, features interactive gameplay, Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and themed dining straight from the Mushroom Kingdom.
  • How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, a family-friendly land with dragon encounters, soaring coasters, and live performances.
  • Dark Universe, inspired by classic Universal Monsters, immerses guests in a gothic environment with spooky rides and themed restaurants.
  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, which blends 1920s Paris (from Fantastic Beasts) with the magical bureaucracy of London, offering a thrilling ride through the wizarding world.

Epic Universe features over 50 attractions, including cutting-edge rides, live shows, and themed dining experiences. On opening day, guests praised the attention to detail and immersive environments, although some pointed out the lack of indoor attractions as a potential drawback during Florida’s unpredictable weather.

With the introduction of two new hotels—Stella Nova and Terra Luna—along with another hotel, Helios Grand Hotel, located within the park, Universal aims to establish Epic Universe as a multi-day destination. As Disney faces increased competition, Epic Universe is emerging as a game-changer in the themed entertainment industry.
