You Can Now Fly Nonstop to the Safest Island in the Caribbean from Boston, Baltimore, and Newark, Thanks to This New Airline

SAFE ISLAND

If you think you need to go to Europe to experience a luxury sleeper train, think again. Beginning on January 26, private rail cars will be added to two-story Amtrak routes, offering travelers a luxurious home on wheels complete with exclusive use of a five-bedroom sleeper car and a lounge car featuring a viewing dome, all serviced by a private chef.

The luxury rail cars will debut on the Coast Starlight as it travels between Los Angeles and San Francisco, then join the California Zephyr to connect San Francisco and Denver. Service on both routes begins in mid-January 2026, and bookings are already available through Halloway, the first online marketplace dedicated exclusively to private rail car travel.

Both journeys take place aboard two private rail cars. The Evelyn Henry sleeper car has five luxurious bedrooms with modern amenities, while the Warren R. Henry car features a lounge and dedicated observation space. Both rail cars are historic but have been renovated for the modern traveler. Guests can expect complete privacy, gourmet meals prepared by an onboard chef, and spectacular views, thanks to a vista dome car that offers nonstop 360-degree views.

The newly-launched carrier AnguillAir took off for the first time with a flight from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) on Wednesday and a flight from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on Thursday to Anguilla-Clayton J. Lloyd Airport (AXA). The new airline is owned by BermudAir and is managed as a sub-brand of the Bermuda-based carrier.

The Boston flights will operate twice each week on Wednesdays and Saturdays through April 25, 2026, while the Newark flights will operate twice each week on Thursdays and Sundays through April 12, 2026.

“This is much more than a new route; it’s a reflection of what BermudAir was built to do: deliver extraordinary service while broadening our destination offerings,” Adam Scott, BermudAir’s founder and CEO, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. “We’re thrilled that we are now able to extend the service and care we offer from Bermuda to our sister British Overseas Territory neighbour, Anguilla.”

On Friday, the carrier then launched flights from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) to the island. That route will also operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, through April 13, 2026.
