Not only professional travelers but also people who just took one journey in a year are now waiting to jump back on the road! These past months have had a major impact on an individual’s wellbeing, psychological-wise. If we count the number of people who were accustomed to go out every day and now are forced to limit all their exercises, we realize that once this pandemic is over, we may have a large number of depressed folks on our hands.
Yet, here comes the good news! Travelers are able to get prepared to pack up again. According to several reports, bookings are gaining momentum for 2021.
Here’s what Becky Lukovic of Bella Travel Planning, a Travel Experts affiliate has to say: “traveling in 2021 has already begun and in the past few weeks my colleagues and I, have been very interested in that.” Bookings for 2021 are within 15 percent of ‘normal,’ which means travelers are planning more than one international trip in the 24 months starting from Jan. 1.
Claire Schoeder of Elevations Travel, who is a Signature Travel Network affiliate, said that she has witnessed an uptick in 2021 business, particularly for the summer and fall. She also asserted that “clients are positive that the number of cases will drop and countries will again open up. Conversations about rapid tests at airports are helpful, and some clients are optimistic about a vaccine.”
These travel advisors have noted that clients are showing interest in Mexico and Caribbean destinations. Guests are ready to vacation and don’t want to have to worry about travel authorizations and test requirements.
Although there were cancelations, before and during the pandemic, these news reports have brought good news. The number of bookings is going up and people have given their trust to the health care system and are packing as we write and read.
