Those Americans who have the Vaccine to save them and those who have been vaccinated are free to travel. No quarantine or test for COVID-19 required, based upon the new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
CDC has precisely directed those Americans who are two weeks out from their final Vaccine shot. They are the ones to travel both domestically and internationally.
Still, International travellers have to test three days before boarding a flight to the U.S. This statement does not differ whether these travellers have taken a Vaccine shot or not. All travellers must wear face masks when on public transportation, including on a plane and in an airport though.
The testing requirement also remains in place depending on a traveller’s destination.
CDC’s new travel guideline is a major step in the right direction supported by science, the miracle of Vaccine. It’s a start to take the brakes off the tourism industry that has been hardest hit by the outcome of COVID.
The Vaccine and vaccinations eliminate the need for testing and quarantines and therefore removes a key barrier to domestic travel.
While CDC gives the green light to travel for those who have taken their Vaccine, their director, Dr. Rochelle still discourages non-essential travel for Americans who are not fully vaccinated. This shows how the Vaccine could change the status of our living.
Earlier this week, CDC has released the results of a new study that shows the two mRNA COVID-19 Vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) are both “highly effective in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infections in real-world conditions among health care personnel, first responders, and other essential workers,” including in asymptomatic cases.
As part of this study, participants self-tested themselves with a PCR test each week, regardless of if they showed symptoms. The results were all negative so, here’s Vaccine to the rescue.
