A United Airlines plane rolled off the runway and got stuck in the grass, forcing the evacuation of all passengers and crew. Nobody was hurt.

The incident happened at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Friday. The flight was coming from Memphis and was a Boeing 737 Max 8. Bush Intercontinental is a key hub in the United network.

The airline did not immediately say what caused the plane to veer off the runway. The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.

“All passengers (were) bused to the terminal and (were) assisted by our team with their onward connections and other needs. We are removing luggage from the aircraft and will work to reunite customers with their belongings as quickly as possible,” United said. “We will work with the NTSB, FAA, and Boeing to understand what happened.”

There were no delays on other flights in and out of the airport in Houston.

Just a day before this problem in Houston, United had an issue with a flight in San Francisco when a tire fell off and crashed at an employee parking lot. The flight was initially scheduled for overseas but landed safely in Los Angeles.
