Mandarin Oriental Opens Special Hotel in Beijing, China

Mandarin Oriental has expanded its enviable portfolio of luxury hotels in China, with the opening of a truly unique property in Beijing.
Located in the heart of a traditional hutong neighbourhood within the Beijing Central Axis, the capital’s key cultural artery, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing features just 42 courtyard houses that enable guests to experience a bygone era without forgoing all the comforts that modern technology provides.
Accommodation options range from 110-sqm one-bedroom retreats, all the way through to a three-bedroom villa.
All features include floor-to-ceiling windows, as well as a garden with a dining table, a living room, and a private courtyard.
The hotel, the second Mandarin Oriental in Beijing, features several F&B outlets, including Cantonese and Italian restaurants, a cocktail bar, and a lounge.
Other facilities include a spa, teahouse, fitness center, and a choice of flexible meeting and event spaces that, due to the unique style of the property, go far beyond what traditional hotels can offer, providing the perfect canvas with which to create memorable moments.
The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries from the owning company – Beijing Tianjie Group, VIPs from Mandarin Oriental, including Amanda Hyndman, Chief People & Culture Officer, Alex Schellenberger, Senior Vice President Brand, Emil Leung, Area Vice President Operations and Andy Guan, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, all of whom took part in the ribbon cutting which marked the hotel’s official inauguration.
To celebrate the opening, the hotel is offering a special rate of CNY12,888 per courtyard house, per night, subject to 16.6% service charge and tax. The deal includes:
– A daily credit of CNY1,888 to be spent across the hotel’s restaurants, bar, and laundry services, as well as treatments at the spa;
– A full 24-hour stay;
