Americans Are Still Planning to Travel

Though COVID-19 cases are still surging across the U.S., Americans seem to be going ahead with their travel plan for 2020 wintertime.

In this new reported survey, more than half of the contributors mentioned that they would only be traveling within the U.S. This is said so despite the currently worsening epidemiological situations.

Travelers are also familiarizing themselves with the “new normal” and proceeding carefully in terms of planning. Although independent lodgings seem to have an edge over hotels in this sense 28 percent of respondents felt that both hotels and short-term rental properties provide an adequately hygienic environment amid COVID-19.

According to LuggageHero’s past Travel Sentiment Monitors, Americans’ finances have been severely impacted by the pandemic, and travel budgets are declining each month.

American travelers are going to plan trips much closer to home because the widespread restrictions on international travel continue to render most global destinations inaccessible. What destinations requests are going to be met in order to welcome guests. But the trends have overwhelmingly been about USA travel and not further.

The financial stresses caused by the COVID-19 reflects clearly on people’s travel budgets, pointing out that the chosen destination and the accommodation service is not as optional as we think. So demands may be tied to economic resources and not simply the desire to travel.

Regardless of where winter travelers have headed the importance of obtaining assistance from a travel professional while planning in these tumultuous times is advised strongly.

This is obviously the time for the travel advisor community to take measures for there is so much change, uncertainty, and regulation in the market these days that enlisting an Advisor has got to be number one on a traveler’s list whether they are thinking about traveling domestically or internationally.
