Road to Switzerland

A virtual “Road to Switzerland” conference was held by the Switzerland Tourism department for people, agents, and the media, with great information about one of Europe’s most gorgeous countries.

Due to the lockdowns and a new set of travel banning, the possibility of traveling to Switzerland exists no longer. The bright side is that with the help of this virtual “Road to Switzerland” we could have something to hold on to for when this pandemic is over.

ST GALLEN

This soft “boutique town” is hardly an hour away from Zurich and easily accessible by the Swiss railway system.

Lake Constance, a beautiful, large body of water has Switzerland to the south and Germany to its north. The Abbey Library of Saint Gall is the third oldest library in the world and it is said that it’s the world’s most beautiful.

Textiles are another reason to visit this city. St. Gallen has been a center of this art for centuries, and there’s a fine textile museum. Besides, St. Gallen is also home to the oldest brewery in Switzerland and makes the best Olma sausage. Last but not least, there’s the breathtaking Alpine landscape in St. Gallen.

THE HEART OF THE ALPS

Jungfrau Railways is a leading tourism company and a private mountain railway in Switzerland.

They can set clients up with amazing Alpine experiences, like a tour to Jungfraujoch, AKA as the “Top of Europe.” You can take a train ride through the villages of Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, and Grindelwald to the uppermost railway station in Europe, all the way up at 3454 meters.

Tourists could hike inside a glacier, admire stunning mountain background, and ride cable cars that go through the mountains as you pass over tranquil villages and green valleys. It’s also a popular and superb ski district.
