Miami Spring Breakers Were Arrested

Miami does not back up the lawbreakers! Why? Because despite vaccination and the declining numbers of cases in some zones, still, U.S. is in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Some spring breakers seem to have forgotten about this or the frustration of the last year has made them blind to the truth.

Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber has mentioned in a statement that Florida is already witnessing packed beaches as spring break begins for many people across the country.

Gelber told the reporters that they are very concerned. That a lot of things are happening at the same time. People at the beaches at people dying on hospital beds all over Miami and the whole contrary.

As numbers of cases and deaths are dropping, many people are interested to let their guard down. This means that they are casting aside what kept many others alive; Using masks and social distancing. This can prolong the pandemic.

The vaccination is happening and more people receive doses every day. Unfortunately, this has given other people false immunity, like the virus itself has been killed. People must realize that the danger is still out there as strong as the last year. So no protection should be neglected.

Gelber cleared out that the combination of gathering and lax use of face-masks with cheaper airfare would lead to a disaster. Plus, there are incredibly cheap round-trip tickets for 40 bucks from anywhere in the Northeast down to Miami, not to mention the discounted rooms. This has made Miami the perfect target for those who seek to loosen their protections and get outdoors.

According to Local 10 News in Florida, around 150 people were arrested in Miami Beach over the weekend. Many of them allegedly stemmed from unruly behaviour, weapons, and drug usage. The reports mention that the confrontations between police and beachgoers also led to two officer injuries.
