Kimpton Hotels' New Book Club Is for Virtual Visitors

Kimpton Hotels is starting a new fight, oh no wait sorry! A new Book Club! When there is only one way left to save our soul and that is drowning our minds into a good Kimpton Hotels thought of launching a new book club to bring the best reads of the moment into hotel rooms across the U.S.

Kimpton Hotels, in cooperation with Literary Hub, has created seasonal reading lists, so that their guests at hand-picked locations can dive into a well-written book anytime. The interesting part is that this Hotel has not forgotten about the travellers who aren’t back on the road yet.

There are chances to join remotely on Facebook and show up in special events like book giveaways, and more.

Because of Women’s History Month, the spring reading list that Kimpton Hotel has listed are: “No One is Talking About This” by Patricia Lockwood, “How Beautiful We Were” by Imbolo Mbue, and “Uncanny Valley” by Anna Weir.

People who are tired of watching TV and watching movies one after one, now have the opportunity to swing down to the front desk at participating Kimpton Hotels and borrow one of the best new books of the season.

Other lists, with different categories, will be announced in June and September.

These Twenty-nine Kimpton Hotels which will contribute to the program are in San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Salt Lake City, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans, Chicago, Atlanta, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City.

In select cities, hotel guests can also enjoy an itinerary curated by Literary Hub to find the perfect spots in town or peruse curated reading lists, as selected by nearby independent bookstores.

This is not the first time that Kimpton Hotel plans such intellectual activity. Last year, the hotel set up a chessboard lending program, as inspired by “The Queen’s Gambit.” Have you seen the series or you are now more tempted to find a book?
