Kermanshah Needs to Implement its Gondola Lift Project

If Kermanshah desires to become a tourism hub, it must get on with the Gondola Lift project, says Houshang Bazvand.

The governor of Kermanshah stressed the need to start the gondola lift project in Taq-e Bostan.

in a meeting to support and remove obstacles to projects in the field of cultural heritage and tourism in Kermanshah province, Houshang Bazvand mentioned that the gondola lift is a very good project to attract tourists.

He added that according to a comparative study, the conditions for the implementation of this project in Kermanshah in terms of receiving cultural heritage permits are much more appropriate than some other provinces, but unfortunately for the implementation of this project in the province more strictness is considered.

The governor emphasized: the people of Kermanshah agree with the implementation of the gondola lift and the senior management of the province is obliged to consult with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism for the implementation of this project during this period and soon another meeting with the ministry to solve problems.

Bazvand further described Sarab-e Nilufar as a very strong tourism potential but Unfortunately, due to some legal problems, Kermanshah has not been able to use this capacity for years to develop tourism in this province properly.

Taq-e Bostan is history carved in stones and Sarab-e Nilufar has beautified the province. Historically and geographically, there are many attractions to put in use to turn Kermanshah into a tourist hub.

Not only that the gondola lift would prosper the tourism industry, but it also gives a better view of the historical site of Taq-e Bostan. How many times would it be possible to actually see the boundaries of a place once considered to be sacred?

Bazvand insisted that the Cultural Heritage Ministry should make its decisions rather quicker when now there is time to construct due to the lockdown of the site.
