Referring to the province’s capacities in the field of air tourism, the Vice President of Lorestan Chamber of Commerce said: “It is necessary to provide the essential infrastructures to attract investors in this industry.”
In an interview, Mohammad Khaki, referring to Lorestan’s capacity to create an air tourism industry, said: “So far, many meetings have been held in this field and tourism activists and those interested in investing in this sector have been asked to join and cooperate.”
Referring to the specialized studies in the form of the province’s tourism commission, he said: “So far, a justification plan for launching the air tourism industry in the province has been prepared and presented.”
For those who are not familiar with “air tourism,” we must add that it is an expression referring to a certain type of tourism when a traveller uses air crafts such as balloons, paraglider, or kites to see a historical or natural landscape from above.
Khaki continued: “We are looking to attract investors into this newborn type of tourism in Lorestan so that we can take an effective step to improve the province’s economy.”
The Vice President of Lorestan Chamber of Commerce stated: Lorestan has very good advantages for tourism in general and launching this special type of tourism industry in the province can have a bright future for everyone, like how zip-lines and cantilever bridges are built over natural landscapes in Mesginshahr and Shahr-e Kord.
Pointing to the need to provide the infrastructure needed by the industry, he said: “The investor goes where the infrastructure is available, so we must first provide the equipment and infrastructure needed by the air tourism industry.”
Emphasizing the importance of security, Khaki said: “We hope to be able to launch this project in Lorestan in places with the beautiful nature of the province and following the regulations.”
