Clothing Culture of Sistan and Baluchestan in an Atlas

The traditional Clothing Culture research of the Sistan and Baluchestan provinces was examined to record the cultural elements of the region’s clothing and the obtained information was uploaded in the Atlas ethnographic software of the country.

According to ISNA, quoting the public relations of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Research Institute, Alireza Hassanzadeh, director of the Anthropology Research Institute, said: ” Clothing Culture has been important since the beginning of history and the form of clothing in different societies according to geographical conditions, environment, lifestyle, wars, political situation. Economic and religious beliefs and has been different from other lands which result in the diversity of what people put on.”

He said: “What seems necessary today concerning indigenous and original traditions is the reserving indigenous outfits, Clothing Culture, and their efficiency.

He added that 168 entries have been uploaded in the outfit section of the Atlas of Ethnography Atlas, adding: “This research report is a description that also uses library and field methods (direct and indirect observation and interview). We hope we have taken a large step into introducing the people of Sistan and Baluchestan.
