Iran National Railway a World Heritage

Under Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts congratulated the World Register of Iran National Railway at the 44th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
According to ISNA, the text of Ali Asghar Monsan’s congratulatory message says:
“The North-South Railway Global Registration, known as the National Railway of Iran, at the forty-fourth meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, achieved another goal set to introduce Iran’s cultural heritage to the world.
This world-renowned work of this new genius case covers a wide area from Imam Khomeini Port to Turkmen Port over unique natural and cultural regions from seven provinces of Khuzestan, Lorestan, Markazi, Qom, Tehran, Mazandaran, and Golestan, will undoubtedly promote protection.
Better management will follow this work and undoubtedly cause more prosperity for the country’s tourism, especially in the provinces located along Iran National Railway.
This Railway of Iran, as the twenty-fifth world heritage of the country, is a valuable legacy of the developments of the industrial period and the result of the increase of global knowledge and efforts of Iranians in the contemporary period.
While sincerely thanking all the dear ones for their efforts and assistance, the global registration of this complex and technical case has been achieved, I consider it necessary to congratulate the globalization of the “Iran National Railway” to the honorable people of Iran and express my hope in the days.”
Now, with the affirmation of Iran’s 25th UNESCO World Heritage site and the approval of the World Heritage Committee, the cultural landscape case of” Uraman/ Oramanat “will be introduced in the World Heritage List as the 26th work of Iran. Uraman also has qualities and the means to get the confirmation of the next committee. Those who have seen Uraman they know how valuable the site is.
Iran National Railway was registered as the 25th World Heritage Site of Iran by the vote of the 44th UNESCO World Heritage Committee.
