Iran will have its first law museum. This place is supposed to exhibit critical documents such as the decree of Muzaffar al-Din Shah and the amendment to the constitutional law.
According to ISNA, citing the public relations of the National Archives and Library of Iran, the first Iranian Law Museum will open on the sixth Wednesday of August. ،The opening will be on the one hundred and fifteenth anniversary of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution and with Ashraf Boroujerdi – President of the National Archives and Library – and Laia Junidi – Legal Vice President.
The opening ceremony of the Law Museum will be in the archive building of the National Archives and Library of Iran. With the opening of this museum, more than one million pages of legal documents will be kept in the Iranian archives.
Some of the documents kept in this museum include the first tax law of the country, the decree of Mozaffar al-Din Shah, the constitution and instructions for forming the government by the command of Nasser al-Din Shah, the constitutional amendment, the first laws and regulations of the country, the press law approved by the National Assembly and the election regulations.
One of the shortcomings of Iran compared to large and prosperous cities in the world is the lack of an urban development documentation center. In most cities, Law museum is where people could see a trend from the past through documents, pictures, and films of different periods.
For Iran’s law museum, these documents are namely the Islamic Consultative Assembly Documentation Center, National Documentation Center, Cultural Heritage Documentation Center, Astan Quds Razavi Documentation Center, Documentation Center of the Foundation for the Preservation of Relics and Sacred Defense Values, Islamic Revolution Documentation Center, Ministry Documentation Center Foreign Affairs, Sahab Institute of Geographical Studies, Golestan Museum Palace Documentation Center, Malek Institute Documentation Center and Contemporary History Documentation and Research Center.
