This 'Urban Sun' Can Kill Coronavirus in Public Spaces for Safer Human Gatherings

This advanced technology aims to make public places, especially aeroplanes, safer.

The efforts of Studio Roosegaarde has led to an alternative “sun” that will save public spaces.

The design firm from the Netherlands revealed Urban Sun. Urban Sun is a light that could “safely clean up to 99.9% of the coronavirus” off of public surfaces and in the air in the blink of an eye. Sounds promising!

Daan Roosegaarde, the Studio founder mentioned that this Sun can make places up to 99.9% virus-free in minutes. However, it depends on the weather and location Also. But it is safe to say that the chance of getting sick or infecting each other is strongly reduced.

This Urban Sun was developed by scientists and researchers from the United States, Japan, Italy, and the Netherlands.

As the company explains, the Urban Sun uses far-UVC, a type of ultraviolet light that has the ability to kill viruses without posing a health risk to humans. The sun’s light can be used to shine a large circle into public spaces. Users have to hang their system above and shine the large cone light to sanitize the space below.

It’s not that people do not need the vaccine or that they should not wear masks. It is essential to know that this Urban Sun doesn’t cure coronavirus, but it does allow social gatherings to be safer.

While the technology may appear far-fetched it is actually by now in development for use in indoor spaces.
