Referring to the investment and tourism project of Lake Ovan, Alireza Khazaeli says: “Environment is part of our cultural heritage. Ovan Tourism Project is not to harm the ecosystem.”
He continues: “In this project, the investor of Ovan project, member organizations of the provincial planning council, monitoring agencies and the cultural heritage organization emphasize that environmental protection is of great importance and the project should be implemented in this regard.”
The Director-General of Cultural Heritage of Qazvin Province states: The investor and all institutions that want to operate in Ovan Tourism Project are obliged to respect the law and protect the environment.
He emphasizes: The investor of this project has been selected through a legal process and a call. The selected investor is a national investor who has implemented similar projects in Tehran and Mashhad.
Khazaeli states: “Sometime before this election, the operation of the lake was the responsibility of the village cooperative. A local cooperative called the development of this tourism Project also participated in this call. In the last stage of choosing between the selected investor and the village cooperative, the current investor was selected.
Finally, this investor gained the necessary points in various fields; Some people say that this project has no economic justification. Indigenous people are involved in deciding the Ovan Tourism Project.
There are two local trustees, one is the director of the village cooperative, the chairman of the village council, the district head, the investor, and the cultural heritage representative.
