Following the previous news about the Ovan tourism project in Qazvin, the Director-General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Qazvin Province said: Natural resources has agreed with only 5 percent of the Lake Ovan project.
Alireza Ghasemzadeh stated: In a meeting held in the office of Lotfallah Siahkali, the representative of the people of Qazvin, Abik, and Alborz, it will be made available due to the representations of the people of the region and the capital of the crossing. A working group is established to address the problems of the Lake Ovan project.
He continued: “Natural resources for the sustainable development of the project believe the investment project will be good for just 5 percent of the lands around Ovan lake. Case of re-agreement, and if the investors hold on to their promises it Lake Ovan project could be extended.
The Director-General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Qazvin Province stated: In the submitted plan, the request for tourism plan was implemented for 155 hectares, but considering that we have allocated 5 hectares in the project considering slip lands, sloping lands, and other cases, note that the secretariat assignment of national lands is a matter of state affairs, and we are simply investigating existing restrictions and thematic prohibitions.
He reminded me: the environmental inquiry of the Lake Ovan project should be taken from the General Directorate of Environmental Protection; Other things are being done by environmental protection. The vegetation figures in the 5 hectares are within those limitations.
Qasemzadeh stated: 5 hectares are related to the tourism plan and to help the tourism industry, and no effect on the volume of water in the lake can pass if it is supposed to be something else, if it has new conditions, it will do so.
