Shah Abbasi Farsfaj Historical Caravanserai is one of the ancient and valuable buildings of Tuyserkan county belonging to the Safavid era, which stands out among the invigorating nature of Qalqlrood plain and Farsfaj city.

According to ISNA, during the reign of Shah Abbas Safavid, to provide security and provide facilities and welfare services related to travel and trade development, roads were built in most parts of the country, and caravanserais were built along with them, which was the distance that a caravan could reach. They traveled from morning to evening to rest the night in the next for instance Farsfaj Historical Caravanserai.

One of these places is Shah Abbasi Farsfaj Historical Caravanseraiin Tuyserkan city, which is located 20 km from Tuyserkan to Kangavar and on the side of this road and also near the current city of Farsfaj.

This caravanserai is a resting place for travelers and caravans that traveled to the west of the country and the holy shrines of Iraq for trade, pilgrimage, and tourism. It was given that after the night was over, they would continue moving again the next morning.

Farsfaj Historical Caravanserai was built between 1006 and 1038 and in the style of Safavid architecture. Its area is about 4000 square meters.

This work has been registered in the list of historical monuments of Iran with the number of 1970 dated 2/6/1376. It has historical, cultural, religious monuments and pristine and attractive tourist attractions and nature.

I have to say; Farsfaj is one of the three cities of Tuyserkan city, 20 km south of Tuyserkan city, which is the center of Qalqrood district.

The officials and experts believe that Farsfaj Historical Caravanserai could be functioning again. As it is on the pilgrimage road to Karbala and Najaf, it could represent the old tale of people and how they traveled.
