The director of the Isfahan Museum of Decorative Arts announced the reopening of this Museum in Isfahan. She invited artists to exhibit their works for free in the museum’s temporary exhibition.
In an interview with ISNA, Raheleh Yousefian stated: The restoration operation of the Museum of Decorative Arts of Iran, which started three years ago, included the renovation and improvement of the mechanical facilities of the engine room, installation of power substations, and replacement and repair of worn pipes.
She continued: “These three restoration phases carried out with a credit of 12 billion and 700 million rials, and now, the museum has suitable heating and cooling system, a motorhome, and a separate electrical system.”
She said that the first phase of emergency restoration was the roof on the north side of the museum, and the Amani Group carried it out. The second phase of restoration will begin soon.
Yousefian announced: with the completion of the restoration operation, the doors of this museum will be open to the public from today, and they can visit the Isfahan Museum of Decorative Arts every day, except Fridays from 8:00 to 13:30.
He added: “In the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Decorative Arts of Iran, objects such as jewelry, textiles, manuscripts, miniatures, oil paintings, trigger papers, miniatures, pottery, and other works related to the Safavid, Qajar and contemporary periods can be seen.”
The director of this Museum reminded: A temporary exhibition of photographs taken by “Holster” from Isfahan has also been set up in this museum, which is called effects of Isfahan and its subject is the daily life of Isfahanis.
Yousefian pointed out: In the temporary exhibition of the museum, we host a display of different works every month, and we invite all artists, if they have works related to the subject of this museum, to hold their exhibition for free in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Isfahan.
