The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts said: “In the field of handicrafts, which is one of the great advantages of Iran, we are ready to hold joint exhibitions between Iran and Germany in this regard. “In the field of tourism, we hope to return to the previous state after Corona, so that tourism relations between the two countries can expand and flourish again.”
“Our tourism mainly included cultural and historical tourism, but in the past few years, in addition to these two sectors, we have also activated other sectors of both Iran and Germany, such as ecotourism and agriculture. These new sectors are becoming so popular.”
“In addition to hotels, we also launched new accommodations. Many of our historic homes were turned into residences, which I thought was a clever idea. By doing so, we made up for the lack of living space with the least amount of capital.”
The Minister of Heritage, Culture, Tourism, and Handicrafts stated: “We turned 2,200 rural houses into accommodation for tourists, so those small businesses were formed. Doing so made our villages prosperous and welcomed domestic and foreign tourists for the cooperation between Iran and Germany.”
He added: “Caravanserais in Iran are very old, many of them were destroyed, so we repaired and rehabilitated them at the expense of the people, and by turning them into a hotel-inn, we were able to bring these places into the tourism cycle for Iran and Germany.”
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts stated: “Cultural issues open closed doors and increase the knowledge of nations about each other. Politicians present a picture of a country that they want, but culture shows the true picture of nations. I believe that culture promotes friendship and peace. Many of the problems are due to misunderstandings and a lack of knowledge about each other.”
