Sari

Sari

The city of Sari, the capital of Mazandaran province, is one of the most beautiful tourist cities in the north.

The spectacular attractions of this city attract thousands of travelers and tourists to this region every year. The historical antiquity of this city of Mazandaran dates back thousands of years ago.

From unique nature to wildlife sanctuaries, the beautiful slopes of the Alborz Mountain range and favorable weather conditions, all have made this city very popular with travelers.

Sari in Mazandaran is not only a tourist attraction for travel but also is selected as a target city for migration to the north due to its convenient facilities and very favorable weather conditions. Most people who are looking to buy a villa in the north think about the areas around the city of Sari.

sari

Sari local food and special souvenirs are very attractive to travelers and tourists. The beauties and sights of Sari in Mazandaran are diverse.

The north is repetition and spreads the greenery of nature with almost the same frequency everywhere, but still, every time we reach a city, the beauty of nature takes over so that we stop by, out of necessity and despair and stare at its beauties for hours.

Sari is also mentioned in the Shahnameh, and this has increased its background glory. The city is 54 meters above sea level and celebrates the presence of both plains and foothills.

sari

That is, on one hand, Sari has plains and pastures that turn green, and on the other hand, there are foothills full of beautiful and attractive flowers. Northern nature, to realize the potential capabilities that it has in itself, only needs rain that falls from the sky.

Sari is one of the eastern areas of Mazandaran province, it has been annexed to the Caspian Sea from the north and has fallen into the hands of Semnan from below. Between Dorud and Nekah, two cities enclose the east of this city and its west is dedicated to Joibar, Qaemshahr, and Savadkuh.

Some time ago, archaeologists and historians, had so many assumptions about the history of Sari. Therefore, they dug up the earth and extracted pottery from its heart, which is said to date back to 6,000 years ago.

As history tells us, Sari, according to most northern cities that were in the spotlight during the Qajar or Pahlavi era, was considered as an important corner during the reign of the Safavid, although for Sari, the Qajar traces are more obvious.

Qajar’s attention to Sari is undeniable. As their bloodthirsty leader (Agha Mohammad Khan) who had passed on his crazy narcissism character to his successors and anyone with the name of Qajar (except Abbas Mirza) just like the House of Targaryen, made it pretty clear Sari was his and no other, the fact is that a new life flowed in the body of Sari when House of Pahlavi played the game of thrones.

When they thought of arrangements for the construction of a railway and tried to increase the prosperity and prosperity of the north by launching a national railway in Iran, they first reached out to Sari, and it so happened that Sari became the first city and the first host of this railway.

There is no need to mention where to go in Sari because everywhere you look there is something breath-taking in nature to amuse you.

On the east side of Sari, there is a river that the locals call Tajan. Around this river, two important parks have taken root, one because of the name of this river, Tajan Park, and the other is the Sari National Park (Parke Meli).

However, nothing matches Badab-e Surt. Badab-e Surt spring is introduced as the second salt spring in the world. They call it or know it as the colorful springs too.

Badab-e Surt

Mazandaran is the cradle of history, all the cities of this province contain traces of historical events, including Sari. It is said that the Resket tower belongs to the early centuries of Islam in Iran and mainly it was a memorial tomb for some of the rural kings of Mazandaran.

Some astrologists believe that around the 3rd century AH a meteorite fell and hit this place, the date, however, is not exact therefore something’s off about this tale

Resket is a circular tower. Most towers, at some specific time, follow the same architectural style a similar style. It is made of brick and brick is a symbol of the best architecture of the past.

Resket

Churet lake is about 71 km from Sari. What makes Churet so calm and pleasant is the density of forests that have become green around it, because of the many walnut trees, around Lake Churet has become a hotbed of oregano and thyme, the smell of which delights one.

The best place to meet people is always the market. All kinds of culture. Encounters can be found in the markets, even in Sari. This daily market is part of the city’s regional bazaar complex and is located on Keshavarz Boulevard in the south of the city, which is one of the oldest and most prosperous bazaars in Sari.

One of the main handicrafts and skills of the people of Sari is making sash windows. Sash is the same colored window that gives a lot of beauty to an Iranian house. The sash itself is an attractive phenomenon for every Iranian and foreign tourist.

Apart from handicrafts and the introduction of historical sites or natural sites for the neck, Sari has been one of the proudest cities in the country in wrestling. In terms of international coaches, wrestling halls, international referees, and clubs, Sari holds the record for Mazandaran and Iran.

As we know, Shahnameh has a full chapter on epics and heroes acted. One amazing sport or a way of a man-on-man battle was wrestling. Wrestling is the only Persian sport and it was a sign of an honorable hero to know how to wrest and be humble and fair. Sari carries not only the beauty of nature but also the beauty of humanity through sport.
